Entrepreneur Backs NAIT Fund
Don Muth (Master Electrician Certificate ’78) has never forgotten his educational roots. Not surprisingly, as the founder and president of an electrical contracting company, Muth Electrical Management Inc., he routinely sends his employees to NAIT for training.
“NAIT’s part of my success. It raised the bar in my life. That’s why I donate to support students.”
Incorporated in 1995, husband and wife team, Don and Doreen, have grown the company from working out of their Edmonton basement into a corporation with projects throughout the province. One of the province’s highly respected entrepreneurs and advocates for his trade, Muth recently gave to support The NAIT Fund, a fund that supports academic priorities such as scholarships, bursaries, capital projects and tutoring.
Additionally, Muth supports a scholarship for electrical apprentices in Alberta. The scholarship was established in memory of Zach McCormack, a former employee who joined the military and served overseas. Sadly, the 21-year-old was killed in action in Afghanistan.
