NAIT’s School of Applied Sciences and Technology offers degrees, 2-year diplomas and 1-year certificate programs to prepare learners for a wide range of in-demand careers in science and technology.
We offer more than 40 diverse programs that include the natural sciences, environmental management, sustainable design, digital media and graphics, photography and broadcasting, mechanical and electrical engineering technology, and information systems technology.
Our facilities include computer and technology-based labs, field labs, drafting studios and specialized centres such as the Centre for Chemical Studies, the Cenovus Centre for Power Engineering, the BP-Canada Water and Wastewater Lab (located in Calgary), the Centre for Sustainable Energy Technology and the Spartan Centre for Instrumentation Technology. These specialized facilities provide our students with practical, job-ready experience using a variety of modern laboratory and field instruments, simulation and computer applications, along with work-integrated learning, field trips, applied research and other opportunities.
Instructors bring industrial expertise and business knowledge to the classroom ensuring students get the benefit of both modern teaching techniques and relevant industrial experience.
