Administrative Support, Department of Culinary Arts and Professional Food Studies
Ruth Urschatz has a strong connection to NAIT. Her father is a retired NAIT employee, and her brother is a NAIT alumni. Ruth graduated from NAIT’s Office Administration program in 1994 and spent a couple of years overseas in Dublin, Ireland, working for a medical company as a business contract administrator. She then came back to Canada and worked as a recruitment consultant, putting her experience and people skills to use.
Ruth returned to NAIT in 1997, this time as an employee. She worked in various administrative roles in both program and service areas until she joined the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in 2010. She knows the importance of the NAIT brand and is an active volunteer on the NAIT Open House and Info Week committees. Ruth’s expertise and continued learning in leadership, human resources and mental health make her a go-to presence for both staff and students.
