Program Assistant, Department of Culinary Arts and Professional Food Studies
Sharon Peuramaki has a vast resume of experience in office administration prior to joining NAIT in 2005. She has worked in various departments in and around NAIT, including the Information Centre, Parking Services, Facilities Management and Financial Aid. Notably, she was a member of a three-year Articulation Project (2009–2012) between the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB) and NAIT, which was focused on developing a Skill Centre approach to help high school students gain hands-on experience in their desired field. This program allows students to not only gain advance credits but helps them make an easier transition to NAIT post-graduation.
Sharon joined the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in 2012 and currently holds the position of Program Assistant. Sharon is a strong advocate of student success and has often been referred to as a “second mom” to many students.
