Mawji Centre for New Venture and Student Entrepreneurship

We're open for business

Let's take that innovative spark and turn it into a success story.

Located on the third floor of the Centre for Applied Technology, The Mawji Centre for New Venture and Student Entrepreneurship fosters entrepreneurial spirit, critical thinking and collaboration. As of February 1, our reception hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in CAT309A.

We bring NAIT students together from all program areas and help them cultivate new ideas and creativity, by delivering experiential programs, events and connections that students need to be successful.

If you're a NAIT student or faculty, join our Moodle site to view our upcoming events and stay current with Mawji Centre activities.

In May 2017, Ashif Mawji and his family made the largest donation NAIT has ever received from an alumnus to establish the Mawji Centre. He is co-founder and a key advisor at Trust Science, an app that calculates the trustworthiness of individuals and businesses.

Ashif Mawji served on NAIT’s Board of Governors from 2004 to 2010. He was awarded a NAIT honorary Bachelor of Business Administration in 2017, named a Top 50 Alumni in 2012 and received the Alumni Award of Distinction in 2003.
