We bring NAIT students together from all program areas and help them cultivate new ideas and creativity, by delivering experiential programs, events and connections that students need to be successful.

In May 2017, Ashif Mawji and his family made the largest donation NAIT has ever received from an alumnus to establish the Mawji Centre. He is co-founder and a key advisor at Trust Science, an app that calculates the trustworthiness of individuals and businesses.
Ashif Mawji served on NAIT’s Board of Governors from 2004 to 2010. He was awarded a NAIT honorary Bachelor of Business Administration in 2017, named a Top 50 Alumni in 2012 and received the Alumni Award of Distinction in 2003.
This student-led group aims to improve the quality of life and standard of living for Canadians through entrepreneurial action. Enactus is an international organization that rallies the ideas and passion of the best and brightest students to address social issues and change.
The NAIT Innovation Challenge gives students from across NAIT the opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards that come with being an entrepreneur. Students collaborate under time and resource constraints, then pitch their idea through video.
The Junior Achievement company program mentors students in grades 9 - 12 from Edmonton area about entrepreneurship. This ongoing joint partnership between the Mawji Centre and the Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories allows junior high and high school students to elect an executive team, develop a product and take it to the market with the help of NAIT students and faculty advisors.
