The Mawji Centre for New Venture and Student Entrepreneurship fosters an entrepreneurial spirit. The centre brings NAIT students together from all program areas and helps them cultivate new ideas and creativity, and celebrate their achievements.

NAIT students gain entrepreneurial skills from faculty advisors, industry mentors and alumni through events, activities and competitions.

EnactusNAIT

This student-led group aims to improve the quality of life and standard of living for Canadians through entrepreneurial action. Enactus is an international organization that rallies the ideas and passion of the best and brightest students to address social issues and change.

NAIT Innovation Challenge

The NAIT Innovation Challenge gives students from across NAIT the opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards that come with being an entrepreneur. Students collaborate under time and resource constraints, then pitch their idea through video.

Partnership Events


Junior Achievement Future Leaders Week

The Junior Achievement future leaders week teaches grade 7, 8 and 9 students from Edmonton and the surrounding area skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. This week-long event is a joint partnership between the NAIT JR Shaw School of Business and the Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories.
