The Mawji Centre for New Venture and Student Entrepreneurship fosters relationships that develop leadership, personal and professional skills within an arranged timeframe. Through the mentorship process, mentees establish goals and personal accountability, while mentors support one-on-one education and advising.
How does it work?
The Mawji Centre will assist the student mentee with the application process, then pairs are introduced at our mentorship pitch event. Mentorship relationships typically last for 10-12 months, where mentee and mentor meet in person for 1 to 2 hours per month to work on setting and realizing personalized, measurable and attainable goals.
From there, mentees drive the relationship, with a member of the Mawji Centre team checking in to ensure healthy progress. After a year, the relationship ends with a celebration of achievements. To pay it forward, mentees are encouraged to volunteer for our centre programs.
