About the Program
This 1-year program (which can also be completed on a part-time basis over a longer period of time) will provide you with more advanced accounting and applied skills beyond the diploma level. You will apply technical accounting skills like financial and management accounting, taxation and assurance. You will also develop software skills and professional competencies including ethics, communications and problem solving that employers value in a competitive job market.

Please note: This information is provided to help you estimate your costs for student financing. Some courses may also have additional expenses. Students who take all of their courses online are exempt from U-Pass, Health & Dental, and Recreation & Athletics fees. All fees are subject to change.
A diploma or a degree, and successful completion of the following prerequisite courses, with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher*:
- ACCT 2212 Intermediate Management Accounting II
- ACCT 2208 Intermediate Financial Accounting II
- BLAW 2205 Business Law
- FNCE 3323 Corporate Finance
- CMIS 2240 Accounting Applications
- TAXX2202 Taxation I
*Prerequisite courses must be completed before the program start date in order to receive full acceptance. Equivalent courses completed outside of NAIT may be considered in lieu of these courses.
For example, if you wish to start the program in September 2019, all of the prerequisite courses must be completed by September 1st, 2019. If the prerequisite courses were completed outside of the diploma or degree, the prerequisite courses would be included in the calculation of the GPA.
