Michael Berry was an individual that demonstrated a love for natural resource management, but in particular field work and working with people. His desire to see respectful treatment and management of Alberta#s resources, whether it be forest, recreational opportunities or wildlife, was under pinned by knowing the resource and working with colleagues and resource users. Michael enjoyed and always looked forward to working in the field and the opportunity of meeting new people with the hope of providing them with a better understanding of Alberta#s natural resources. He realized that people can make a difference.

The essay should describe the GIS training component he/she has completed to date; his/her interest in continuing their studies in GIS; his/her career goals in the GIS field.
