When training is completed you will have the option to take the Class 6 motorcycle practical test and are able to use our motorcycles. In accordance with new regulations on-road testing is mandatory. Students will need to purchase a testing permit from any Alberta Registry. A Class 6 on-road test will then be scheduled for students wishing to test.

Motorcycles for training are supplied by NAIT; however, you are responsible to provide your own riding gear. Required riding gear is listed on the course pages.
What you’ll learn
Expert certified instructors will guide you through motorcycle basics such as balance and control, downshifting and upshifting, hand and electric signals, counter steering (push steering), acceleration and deceleration, both in straight lines and in curves, straight line braking, braking in curves, emergency manoeuvres in curves and straight lines, collision avoidance, emergency braking and acceleration.
Our course is specially designed to adapt to the students' needs after the basic components are discussed, demonstrated and then practiced. Regardless of each student’s experience, we can tailor the course within the course to add to existing skills or to work with students that need extra help. Our instructors have taught thousands of students who enter the course with different levels of experience. All of our Instructors are professional motorcycling experts.
