Program Details

Program Model / Completion Requirements

The Business Administration - Management Diploma is a two-year program delivered in day, evening and online classes. The program's course breakdown is as follows:

Year 1
Semesters: 1 and 2
Description: Year 1 consists of 10 required courses in business administration.
Time: 640 hours

Year 2
Semesters: 3 and 4
Description: Year 2 consists of Management program-specific courses.
Time: 640 hours

Students are eligible to graduate from the daytime program at the end of Semester 4—either in April or December. Students can also complete their studies in the evening through NAIT Continuing Education or NAIT  eLearning.

Although students may continue into Year 2 after successfully completing eight courses in Year 1, students must complete all courses in the Business Administration - Management curriculum in order to graduate. Note: Students need at least 30 credits in Year 2 management courses in order to graduate.

Certification

Business Administration - Management Diploma

The Management program in the JR Shaw School of Business is nationally accredited by the Canadian Institute of Management (http://www.cim.ca/).  Diploma graduates may pursue their CIM progressional designation.
