Program Model / Completion Requirements
The Business Administration - Finance program is a two-year program delivered over four 16-week semesters. The program's course breakdown is as follows:
Year: 1
Semester(s): 1 and 2
Description: Year 1 consists of ten required core courses for all business administration students.
Time: 640 hours
Year: 2
Semester(s): 3 and 4
Description: Year 2 consists of introductory financial courses, career seminars and other business courses.
Time: 640 hours (core courses), 32 hours (two finance career seminars)
Students are eligible to graduate from the daytime program at the end of Semester 4 - in either April or December. Students can also complete their studies in the evenings through NAIT Continuing Education.

Degree Options
Graduates of the Finance diploma program may receive a two-year transfer credit toward the completion of the following four year degree programs. (Transfers subject to meeting academic qualifications)
- Bachelor of Business Administration from NAIT
- Other post secondary Bachelors of Management or Commerce programs
Applied Degree Options
Graduates of the Finance diploma program may receive a two year transfer credit toward the following applied degrees. (Transfers subject to meeting academic qualifications)
- Bachelor of Applied Business - Finance degree from NAIT
- Bachelor of Applied Business Administration - Accounting degree from NAIT
Designations and Licenses:
Graduates may also receive credit toward:
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Ceritified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Certified General Accountant (CGA)
- Cerified Investment Manager (CIM)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
