It depends on the program chosen for Year 2. Timetable adjustments may be made to allow you to take the missing courses and continue on with the second year. Tuition for these courses will be the responsibility of the student.
Upgrading is available through the NAIT 12-week Pre-business program. Individual courses are also available through College Preparation, where you may take as many courses as you need. Another option is to start your studies through Continuing Education. If you complete the first-year courses* listed below, you can apply for direct entry to the second semester of Year 1 full time program.

The program chair will evaluate your transcript upon request after you have been accepted into the program. We have a significant number of students who receive advance credit for work done at another post-secondary educational institute.
No. Any coursework requiring the use of a computer is scheduled in NAIT computer labs. However, access to a computer outside of NAIT does offer students flexibility.

Our counsellors suggest that full-time students not work more than 10-15 hours per week. Any more than that will make it difficult to balance work, studies and leisure time.
