Alberta Works Part-Time Skills Investment Bursary eligibility is determined by Human Services.
You must discuss your eligibility for part-time funding with an authorized official and be recommended for training before submitting a Skills Investment Bursary Application form. To determine if you meet the basic eligibility criteria you can complete the online estimator.
Please note: Alberta Works Skills Investment funding is limited, provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding must be approved prior to training start date so Students must apply early with complete documentation or they will not be considered.
Once you have been approved for funding you must maintain your eligibility. You do so by passing all class(es) you have been funded for. If you do not pass your class(es), you must use your own resources to repeat the course and provide confirmation that you attended and passed before you may be considered for further funding. It is important to note that funding is not available to repeat course(s) previously funded on a part-time Skills Investment Bursary or on a full-time Skills Investment Grant.
