  Welcome to the School of Arts, Science and Communications (SASC) !

Formerly the School of Academic Foundations and Bridging, SASC remains the home for NAIT’s academic upgrading programs, including Pre-Technology (Regular, Aboriginal and Accelerated) and College Preparation, as well as the Medical Transcription certificate and Legal & Realtime Reporting diploma programs.

The School develops and delivers courses servicing other academic programs at NAIT through our departments in Liberal Arts, Mathematics, and Physics; as well as diagnostic testing.

If the list below describes you, we have your solution:

• High school marks don’t meet the post-secondary entrance requirements
• Unaccustomed to managing a full course load
• Intimidated by mathematics and physics or baffled by chemistry
• Out of school for a while; have rusty study skills
• Undecided about your career path
