The School of Information Communication and Engineering Technologies offers a wide range of programs including three and four year applied degrees, two year diplomas, one year certificate and four year trades programs.
The diverse Alberta economy sets the stage for an exciting range of careers for those interested in businesses and industries ranging from photography and broadcasting, through digital media and graphics, to mechanical and electrical engineering technology. This diversity is matched by the comprehensive modern facilities available within the School and the wealth and depth of courses provided.
The technological activities within the School encompass information technology, networks, instrumentation, electrical power generation and distribution, robotics, electrician trades of several types, as well as specialist areas such as biomedical engineering technology. Media and graphics complement the engineering technology flavour of the School. The diverse full-time, part-time and distance delivery methods of instruction include some Co-Op options, giving students a wide range of approaches to study.
Instructors bring not only expertise in teaching but also industrial experience, business knowledge and artistic flare to the classroom. Further, they have the opportunity to refresh their industrial and commercial knowledge by engaging with local, national and international industrial activities in a variety of ways. Students can be sure they will get the benefit of both modern teaching techniques and a wealth of relevant industrial experience.
