NAIT's Women in Technology Initiative

How do women go about turning their math and science skills into great careers? Opportunities are limitless. NAIT's Women in Technology initiative tries to ensure that all prospective female students are aware of the excellent career opportunities and bright futures that await them in diverse technical fields.

NAIT has a global reputation as a leader in education geared for the real world. Students benefit from:

Confident, prepared, and in demand, NAIT graduates hit the ground running when they enter the workforce.

Did you know?

  • A valuable scholarship is available for women studying full-time in fields non-traditional for their gender. Ranging from $1000 to $5000, the Persons Case Scholarship is open to Alberta residents whose studies and careers goals contribute to the advancement of women. This is just one of the many scholarships and awards available to NAIT students.
  • NAIT has more nationally-accredited engineering and applied science diploma programs than any other post-secondary institution in Canada. 23 such programs have earned national accreditation from the Canadian Council for Technicians and Technologists, meaning that the programs meet rigorous national standards and the credentials of graduates are widely recognized.
  • A 2007 NAIT survey of grads from the Class of 2002 reported median earnings of $60,000, with the highest earners employed in engineering technologies and various skilled trades.
