If you are submitting your order in hard copy format, by disc or on a memory stick, fill out a Learning Resources Supply and Services form available from the eForms Repository on the Staff Portal and forward the package to our office in U207.
The Learning Resources courier service makes stops at designated office banks on Main Campus to pick up work orders and deliver completed jobs. This courier service also does pickups and deliveries for the Library. Ask us for details.
Depending on your needs we are able to produce brochures /posters usually within a day of ordering, in a simple B&W or a full color format. We offer full color or B&W digital prints up to 12” x 18” on a variety of different stocks for brochures, posters, postcards, newsletters, and manuals. We can scan & print from your hard copy originals or you can visit our ePrinting Ordering site and up-load your file. Larger B&W or color posters can be purchased through the Project Factory. Our print shop offers quick turnaround in black print on one or both sides of white or colored paper. We can print sizes of 8.5” x 11”, 8.5” x 14” and 11” x 17”, with the options of collating, booklet (saddle stitch), corner or side stapling, or 3 hole punching.
Media Design and Production produces ILMs for NAIT and other learning institutions across Canada. Production of these publications takes a great deal of planning and attention so we must ask for at least 30 days to produce your order. The average turn-around time is about 2 weeks but there are periods when we need the whole 30 days. All ILM’s must be ordered through Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Single color offset printing is an option for producing large volumes of a single high-quality document. Depending on how big your order is, this could be a more cost efficient option. The digital file from your job can be stored on our server. If you decide to print additional copies in the future, just let us know.
We are well equipped to handle your padding, scoring, perforating, stapling, folding, cutting, laminating, wrapping, and hole punching needs. Our binding capabilities include booklet, coil, or Cerlox.
We are responsible for the Institute’s stationery, including business cards, letterhead, and envelopes. Letterhead and envelopes are printed in large quantities and stored at the Distribution Centre; you may order these items from the NAIT Central Stores Inventory System. Download the Central Stores Catalogue to locate the part number you require and then order the item through PeopleSoft Finance. To have your School or Department name added to the letterhead by Media Design & Production; forward your paper stock to U207. Be advised that envelopes with School or Department name is a custom order with a minimum of 5000 pieces.
Business cards can be ordered by filling out the Business Card Order Form LR001 available from the eForms Repository on the Staff Portal. If your cards are new or have any changes from the previous order, your supervisor will need to approve the form; if you wish to have professional designations or degrees on your card, other approval signatures are also required as described on the form. If you are re-ordering cards, just attach your old business card to the form LR001 and fill in the information at the top of the form. All business card requests should be forwarded to U207.
