Department of Physics

The NAIT Department of Physics has been an outstanding resource for over 45 years. The Department staff have been at centre stage in the "learn-by-doing philosophy" - understanding the nature of matter, energy and the dynamics of our world is a job they do very well.

Over 2000 students per year are finding out answers to their physical world's most intriguing questions from NAIT's Physics Department.

Our Department is operated through the School of Sustainable Building and Environmental Management. Our skilled team of faculty and technicians provide support and instruction to students who are working towards diplomas in a total of 31 disciplines. Through lectures and labs, they are introduced to the world of physics and are acquiring hands-on experience that they will utilize in their chosen programs.
