Recycle!!!

At NAIT you can recycle paper/cardboard/newsprint, bottles/cans, toner cartridges and batteries.

Use a Reusable Mug

When you use a reusable mug for coffee at NAIT, you will save a cup from going to the landfill and you will also save money, 15 cents to be exact!

Turn off your lights when leaving your workspace

Enable sleep mode on your monitor.

Your monitor will reactivate when you touch your keyboard or mouse.

- Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver > Power > Settings for Home Office/Desk power scheme > Turn off monitor: select the time after which you want your monitor to enter into sleep mode > Apply

Set your screen saver to blank after 5 min

- Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver > Select blank and five minutes > Apply

Print Double Sided

Start > Printers and Faxes > Highlight your printer and Select printing preferences > Finishing > Check Print on Both Sides (to save this as your default, type a name in the Print Task Quick Sets field > Save > Apply)

Save some Ink

Print in black and white.  If you are not printing a final report that's needed in the highest quality, this option reduces the amount of ink used.

Start > Printers and Faxes > Highlight your printed and Select printing preferences > Colour > Check Print in Grayscale > Apply
