Stantec partners with NAIT to support student success

March 11, 2009 – North American design firm Stantec is donating $250,000 to NAIT for student awards and capital expansion.

“Stantec is a Canadian business success story with roots in Edmonton,” says Dr. Sam Shaw, NAIT’s President and CEO. “NAIT is proud to say many of our alumni have played a role in Stantec’s success, and this investment will ensure our strong relationship continues.”

$200,000 of the donation is funding NAIT’s capital expansion projects, which has allowed the Institute to increase apprenticeship training by more than 70% during the past four years; the remaining $50,000 is designated for student awards in Architectural Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Geomatics Engineering Technology, Interior Design, Technology and Petroleum Engineering Technology.
