Philips donates ultrasound equipment

June 1, 2009 - Philips Healthcare invested in NAIT's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with eight pieces of Ultrasound System equipment valued at $1.89 million. The September 2007 gift is recognized by the naming of the Philips Laboratory for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, which houses the equipment.

The investment includes a strategic partnership where the partners will meet bi-yearly to further discuss opportunities for providing industry resources, offering ultrasound seminars, reviewing and updating equipment requirements and developing an annual training schedule. NAIT's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and Philips have a twenty year partnership history.
