Interactive event challenges students to pursue their potential

WHAT:  “Pursue Your Potential” SIFE NAIT students host a fun-filled interactive event with food, prizes, and activities geared towards career opportunities in Alberta policing services. The main attraction is an inflatable obstacle course in which students race to beat both the challenge times set by participating community police officers and the race time of their peers! Participants with the best times have the chance to win a pair of Oilers’ tickets and other great prizes.

WHY:  “Pursue Your Potential” is a part of the Alberta C.O.P.S. marketing campaign initiative, a three-year competitive program open to all Alberta post-secondary campuses. In previous years NAIT has been a very successful candidate earning first place in the fist semester and second place in the following semester. Using students to tailor recruitment to generation Y has resulted in increased brand recognition and hopes to decrease the negative feelings towards policing careers held by this group.
