The NAIT experts' holiday survival guide

Posted: December 11, 2017

EDMONTON – Getting overwhelmed by the need for festive stories? NAIT experts can help, with tips for surviving, and thriving, this holiday season.

From finding great gifts online to reducing seasonal stress – for you, and your pets – they have a ho-ho-host of ideas to simplify your holiday planning:

1. Avoid crowded malls and congested streets by shopping online for gifts. NAIT Marketing instructor Surj Rai can offer tips for making the most of your online shopping experience and talk about online retail trends, including the huge growth in cyber shopping. Surj can be reached at 780-471-7791 or 587-501-5999 or surjitr@nait.ca until Dec. 21.
2. Minimize holiday stress with expert help from Personal Fitness Trainer instructor Kate Andrews, focusing on both physical and mental well-being. Kate can be reached at 780-471-8716 or katea@nait.ca until Dec. 21.
3. Keep pets healthy and safe from potential hazards like rich foods, holiday decorations and unfamiliar guests. Dr. Elaine Degrandpre, senior medical officer for NAIT’s animal health programs offers pet-friendly suggestions. Elaine can be reached at 780-378-5379 or edegrand@nait.ca (for interviews in English or French).
