New Dean for NAIT's JR Shaw School of Business

Dennis Sheppard brings more than 25 years of experience as a post-secondary educator and entrepreneur

EDMONTON – Dennis Sheppard, former dean of the Centre for Applied Management at Lethbridge College, joins NAIT this week as dean of the JR Shaw School of Business.

Sheppard is an entrepreneur who founded two geospatial services companies and lead the team which established the first third-party food service on Lethbridge College campus. He joined the college as an instructor in 2001 after serving as an academic assistant with the University of Lethbridge. He has since served as chair, interim vice-president academic and dean at the college.

He has a Bachelor of Science from Memorial University, a Master of Science from the University of Lethbridge and studied Geographic Information Systems at Nova Scotia Community College. He has also completed graduate level business courses with Athabasca University.

Dennis is a strong proponent of building relationships both within NAIT and externally, with the broader business community.
