NAIT Ooks Get a New Look
WHAT: NAIT’s Athletics and Recreation Department is entering a new era with a new look. Join us for the unveiling of the new NAIT Ook logo at the much-anticipated 109th Street Challenge between the NAIT Ooks and the MacEwan Griffins. This highly competitive men’s hockey game is expected to draw a large crowd including several minor hockey league teams.

WHY: Ookpik (or Ook for short) was presented to NAIT students in October 1964 by the Federal Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. This is the fourth incarnation of the Ook. NAIT has 12 varsity athletics programs in hockey, volleyball, basketball, badminton, soccer, curling, golf and cross country running. The new look of the Ook embodies NAIT’s quest to succeed in National level college athletics.
