Science wizards gather at NAIT for Edmonton Regional Science Fair
WHAT: More than 200 students in grades 4 – 12 from Edmonton and surrounding communities will compete at the regional science fair at NAIT this weekend. There are 16 different categories the students can compete in, such as: biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, engineering and computing, life sciences and physical and math sciences. The top eight participants from the Junior and Senior categories will get to go to the Canada Wide Science Fair in Peterborough, Ontario in May.

WHEN: Saturday, April 10th, 2010
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Judging (No public viewing)
Sunday, April 11th, 2010
Noon – 3 p.m. – Exhibits open to the public
3 p.m. – Awards presented to top projects in Grades 4 – 6 (Shaw Theatre – Top five entries in each grade recognized)
4 p.m. – Awards presented to top projects in Grades 7 – 12 (Shaw Theatre – Top three entries in Junior and Senior categories recognized)
(**Media can come on either Saturday or Sunday, but the general public is invited only on Sunday. Saturday may be a better day for media interviews because it is much quieter.)
