Media availability with celebrity chef Massimo Capra - NAIT’s 2012 Hokanson Chef in Residence
WHAT: NAIT will host a media availability with celebrity chef Massimo Capra, who is bringing his passion for life and all things gastronomical to NAIT as the 2012 Hokanson Chef in Residence.

Media will meet outside of Ernest’s restaurant, which is in U Building off 118 Avenue (see attached map). Please arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. Those who will be entering the NAIT kitchens will be required to wear lab coats, which will be provided.
WHY: The Hokanson Chef in Residence program provides students in the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts with a rare opportunity to learn from the best chefs in the world. This year is no exception. Capra is the chef and co-owner of Toronto’s Mistura Restaurant and Sopra Upper Lounge. He is also an award-winning author and television host, perhaps best known for his appearances on Food Network’s Restaurant Makeover.
The Hokanson Chef in Residence program kicked off with Canadian celebrity chef Rob Feenie in February 2009, followed by David Adjey in March 2010 and Susur Lee in March 2011. The program, which this year runs from March 19 to 23, was made possible as a result of a generous donation from John and Susan Hokanson.
