Assistance dogs-in-training going on field trip to NAIT
WHAT: Dogs with Wings volunteers will bring assistance dogs-in-training to NAIT as part of their training.
WHO: Brenda Abbott, Finance instructor in the JR Shaw School of Business and long-time Dogs with Wings volunteer.
Other Dogs with Wings volunteers
Several pooches between the ages of five months and two years, who are training to be assistance dogs. They will be wearing specially-designed vests, identifying them as assistance dogs.

WHEN: Friday, April 20, 2012
WHY: Edmonton-based Dogs with Wings trains assistance dogs to work with the visually impaired as well as autistic children. As part of their training, the dogs are brought into the community in order to become familiarized with different environments. NAIT will be their classroom this Friday. Abbott has arranged for the volunteers and dogs to walk the halls of Main Campus and train in a busy environment.
