NAIT Painter and Decorator apprentices to give Goodwill store a makeover
WHAT: Eleven first-year apprentices along with two instructors in the Painter and Decorator program will put on their coveralls, take out their painting gear and rejuvenate the interior of the Beverly Goodwill store.

WHY: Volunteer apprentices will be patching, sanding and painting interior walls in this existing store. In addition to helping a not-for-profit, the apprentices will gain valuable, real-world experience. Apprentices in the program have taken on similar projects over the years involving other non-profits.
Goodwill Industries of Alberta is an Alberta-based not-for-profit organization that directly takes donations, sells them in the retails stores and then has a direct impact on people in the community by providing employment opportunities in its stores, contract services and training and employment programs for individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment.
In addition to photo/video opportunities, NAIT apprentices, their instructors and representatives of Goodwill Industries of Alberta will be available to be interviewed.
