Ooks women’s hockey team to face off against Japanese national squad

WHAT: NAIT’s women’s hockey team is hosting an exhibition game against the Japanese national women’s team.

WHERE: NAIT Arena

Edmonton, Alberta

WHEN: Monday, Sept. 24, 2012
7 p.m.

WHY: This will be a rare opportunity for the Ooks women’s team to play international calibre players. To mark the occasion, NAIT will present commemorative pins to the Japanese players. Commemorative pucks have also been designed for the occasion. NAIT President and CEO, Dr. Glenn Feltham, will perform the ceremonial puck drop. The admission fee to this exhibition game has been waived.

NAIT’s women’s hockey team will play their season opener Oct. 19 at SAIT. The two teams will meet again the following day in Edmonton.
