NAIT opens its doors for Open House 2012
WHAT: Open House 2012 will feature over 120 displays and interactive exhibits showcasing the institute’s wide range of career-related programs. Those in attendance will have opportunities to see the latest in video production, gaming and animation technologies, record radio commercials, watch entertaining physics and chemistry demonstrations, critique student photography, tour a fully-loaded ambulance and more. This is NAIT’s largest recruitment event.

WHEN: Friday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHO: Over 13,000 visitors are expected at Open House 2012, including potential students, parents, teachers and counselors. Current students, alumni and staff will be on hand to chat with the public about NAIT's learning environment and educational advantages.
WHY: Open House 2012 will have a 50th anniversary theme. Five-foot tall Ook cutouts will be placed around campus and attendees will be urged to take photos with these mascots. As well, on Saturday, 50th anniversary cupcakes will be available at 1 p.m. in Bytes cafeteria (in HP Centre).
New for this year is a mobile app which can be accessed here. The app allows individuals to see exactly where they are on campus in real time and find the program booths they are interested in visiting.
