3. STORY IDEA: Picking the best wines and beers for seasonal gatherings

However, too many of us fail to follow through. Kate Andrews, an instructor in NAIT’s Personal Fitness Trainer program, offers expert advice on how to make appropriate resolutions and tips for getting into shape and sticking with it. 5. STORY IDEA: Year-end tax planning

Stacey Cooper, taxation and accounting instructor in NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business, has tips and reminders around year-end tax planning. Did you know, for example, that Canadians receive a 15% tax credit for charitable donations under $200 and a 29% credit for donations over $200? To take advantage this tax year, donations must be made by Dec. 31. Stacey also has timely advice involving income splitting and dealing with capital losses.
