Safety campaign to be unveiled
The Alberta Centre for Injury Control & Research (ACICR), Preventable Alberta and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), will unveil their latest safety-driven campaign on Sept. 15.
Designed to create awareness among students, staff, and Albertans about workplace safety, the campus-wide initiative will bring to life impactful mirror, mobile and elevator applications, with statements such as “No one expects to end the day by causing a horrific car crash,” and “If you’re texting while walking have a word with yourself.”
The campaign’s goal is to challenge Albertans’ attitudes and behaviours associated with preventable injuries, encouraging them to stop and think before they act. Along with a tour of the active campaign, partners will speak to the importance of health and safety at NAIT, and highlights of the campaign. Additionally, ACICR will launch their new commercial focused on texting and driving.
