Winners of bank design competition to be announced
EDMONTON – Second year Architectural Technology students at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) were tasked with designing an innovative and functional bank branch that incorporates concepts of environmental sustainability. The winners will be announced this week at the fifth annual NAIT Architectural Technology student design competition awards reception, sponsored by Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd.
The branch design was done for a fictional bank (Northbank) on a site located in downtown Lethbridge, AB. The submissions have been through two rounds of judging. The top three designs have been selected to receive cash awards totaling $1,750. Design entries were judged based on: concept, aesthetics, functionality, sustainability and corporate identity.
Participants, NAIT faculty and representatives from Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd will be available for media interviews. There will also be photo ops of the students with their winning designs.
