Alumni recognized for accomplishments and business leadership
Kris Mauthe and Tiffany Linke-Boyko are the recipients of NAIT’s 2015 alumni awards
Business leaders Kris Mauthe and Tiffany Linke-Boyko are the recipients of NAIT’s 2015 alumni awards, which recognize the accomplishment of graduates who have contributed to the institute or community.
Mauthe (Accounting ’95), a Certified Management Accountant, is president and CEO of Argus Machine Co. Ltd., an Edmonton-based manufacturer and supplier of oilfield and other industrial products. Argus is a major employer of NAIT graduates and has supported scholarships for NAIT students since 1999.
Linke-Boyko (Management ’07) is chief operating officer for Startup Edmonton, an organization founded in 2009 that connects entrepreneurs and product builders with community, skills and space to support them in taking an idea to reality. Linke-Boyko has played a vital role in Startup Edmonton’s growth into a campus and hub supporting members, community meetups and tech-enabled companies.
• Mauthe is a member of NAIT’s Business Administration Accounting program advisory committee and sits on the campaign cabinet for Essential: The NAIT Campaign – the largest fundraising initiative in the polytechnic’s history.
• Linke-Boyko serves on the Mayor’s Task Force to Eliminate Poverty and on the board of directors for the Edmonton Dream Centre, a centre for addiction recovery that provides hope and health to women in crisis.
• The Alumni Award of Distinction has been awarded annually since 1997.
• The Spirit of NAIT Alumni Award was first awarded in 2005. It is awarded to alumni who have made exceptional advances or achievements in their career within 12 years of graduation.
