Aboriginal Culture Day a celebration of teachings and culture
First Nations, Métis and Inuit teachings and culture will be showcased during NAIT’s annual Aboriginal Culture Day.
The day begins with a traditional Tipi raising ceremony, led by Cree Elders-in-Residence Walter Bonaise and Alsena White. Activities continue throughout the day, including a stew and bannock feast, and the presentation of the 2015 Sen. Thelma Chalifoux Award to the Rupertsland Institute for its ongoing commitment to aboriginal student success.
These activities are open to all NAIT students, staff and visitors.
