International Applications

Most international students will need a
study permit if they plan to study in Canada for more than 6 months.
Getting a study permit
- Apply for a full-time day program, or contact NAIT to register for a full-time Continuing Education or English as an Additional Language program.
- Once you have been accepted, NAIT will send you an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
- Take the LOA and your completed study permit application package to the closest Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Visa Office to begin the study permit process. Allow a minimum of 3 to 4 months for processing.
- Contact NAIT International Education to keep us updated on the status of your study permit application.
- Contact NAIT International Education to confirm your attendance once you have your study permit.
