Full Time Day Student Parking
It is recommended that students purchase permits for parking. Parking applications may be obtained from Parking Services (Room O112) or online. The application must be faxed in or delivered in person for approval. Payment is due for the full term of the program upon approval of the parking application.
Daily parking is available from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm and only in the lot designated on the permit. Daytime permits are valid in many lots after 5:00 pm and on weekends. However, they are NOT valid in the underground lots (HP Center), hourly lots, disabled areas, 24 hour reserved stalls or restricted parking areas. Vehicles not displaying a permit or vehicles improperly parked will be issued a violation ticket and / or towed away at the owner's expense.
Permit holders who have difficulty finding parking in their assigned parking lot should phone 780.471.7477.
The number of students requiring parking far exceeds the parking capability at NAIT. Prior to submitting your application for parking, you must consider whether alternate forms transportation, such as public transit, Park ‘n Ride, DATS, etc., are feasible.
If alternate transportation cannot be arranged, the following steps are required to ensure that you are considered for a Student Parking Permit:
- Fill out a Student Parking Application Form
- Attach current, relevant documentation to the Student Parking Application if a special circumstance exists.
There is no deadline for placing your application for Student Parking; however, it is recommended to apply as early as possible. Registration dates vary each year; therefore, it is best to contact Parking Services for the most recent information.
