As Alberta Health Services has now made the H1N1 vaccination available to all Albertans over six months of age, NAIT is encouraging all staff and students to get immunized.
Immunization is one of our best defences against influenza.
Visit Alberta Health Services to learn more about the H1N1 and seasonal immunization programs and to search for immunization clinic locations and dates.
Many of you have asked whether NAIT will host an H1N1 vaccine clinic on campus.
Unfortunately, NAIT does not have the staff resources to host a clinic. With NAIT’s four full-time and three part-time nurses, it would take eight weeks to immunize our more than 15,000 students and staff.
While NAIT has hosted seasonal flu shot clinics for staff in the past, this was done with the assistance of Alberta Health Services.
That practising other good health habits keeps your body strong so it can fight infection. Eat a well balanced diet, exercise regularly, manage your stress and get plenty of rest.
