Summer 2009 Culinary Bootcamps a great success

As the summer sizzled to scorching temperatures, so did NAIT’s kitchens with the onset of the culinary and pastry boot camps. The ever-popular courses once again took place in the Hokanson Center for Culinary Arts at NAIT, where students perfected their expertise through the Culinary Boot Camp, the Pastry Boot Camp, and the Culinary Boot Camp Level II. The courses exceeded students' expectations in their professional delivery by NAIT’s chefs and through their atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship.

“It was so much fun, I was able to meet people, in other words, made new friends. Was worth the money.”  Boot Camp student - July 2009

The small group sizes and emphasis on teamwork created a unique environment where students were able to excel and showcase their own skills while also learning together.

I enjoyed every aspect of this boot camp. I loved the instructor. Loved the food and most of all loved the people who were all involved this past week. We defined teamwork.” Tracy - July 2009

The boot camps are best described as comprehensive, professional, and fun-filled, leaving students with an unquenchable taste for bringing their new skills home and pursuing further culinary endeavours. NAIT will welcome its new enlistment of recruits for the culinary and pastry boot camps in the summer of 2010.
