Students Prepare Thanksgiving Dinner for Boyle Street

About 60 NAIT Culinary Arts and Retail Meatcutting students gave up part of their Thanksgiving weekend to prepare, cook and serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to Edmonton’s less fortunate at Boyle Street Community Services.

More than 1,400 people enjoyed the students’ skilfully prepared dinner, which included:

  • 80 turkeys
  • 340 kg of stuffing
  • 250 kg of carrots
  • 140 kg of broccoli
  • 250 kg of mashed potatoes
  • 240 L of gravy

The student participants are part of Club Culinaire, a student-managed club that is heavily involved in the community.
