Club Five Star

Club Five Star is a community service club for Hospitality Management students. Members strengthen their service and leadership skills and build relationships within the NAIT and Edmonton communities.

Our activities

Club Five Star Annual Scholarship Dinner

Each year, club members plan, organize and hold a fine dining four-course meal to raise money for a scholarship fund. The $1,000 Hospitality Management scholarship will be given to a student who:

• shows great leadership skills
• has a wise knowledge of the hospitality industry
• contributes to the community

Christmas Candy Cane Sale

Club Five Star members sell candy canes each Christmas to raise money for various local charities. In past years, the funds raised have gone to Kyle's Joy Cart at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and inner city schools.

• ATEC Business Link Mixer and Emerit product launch
• student Halloween party and charity fundraiser
• student classroom recycling project
• inner city school book drive and fundraiser
• inner city toy drive

In addition, Club Five Star has partnered with Club Culinaire to present some gala events.

In 2009, Club Five Star received the NAIT Student Association's Giv'r Award for the significant contributions the group made with volunteer extracurricular activities.
