Our International Student Exchange programs take students to Austria, Italy and the Philippines, and bring students from those countries to learn at NAIT. It's a wonderful way to immerse students in the food, culture, history, and surroundings of another country. These international experiences add depth and breadth to their practical skills and will influence them throughout their careers.

Philippines Exchange 2010
In 2009, Philippines students visited NAIT, and so in 2010, it was our turn. NAIT's Philippines Exchange took NAIT students to Manila from July 10 to August 4, where they were hosted by the Center for Culinary Arts. Our students spent a month working with their talented instructors and absorbing the local food and culture.
Italy Exchange 2010
In 2010, NAIT hosted students from the Artusi Culinary Institute of Chianciano in Tuscany, Italy. In addition to working with NAIT's world-class instructors, the group travelled the province of Alberta, visiting the Rocky Mountains, Calgary, Drumheller, and Edmonton.
Austria Exchange 2010
Following our students' exchange to Austria in 2009, students from Hohere Bundeslehranstalt fur Tourismus in Retz, Austria came to NAIT in 2010, to learn from NAIT instructors and tour the province of Alberta, for a full educational and cultural experience. The six visiting students were able to enjoy some great Alberta sunshine as they explored Edmonton, the Rocky Mountains, and southern Alberta including Drumheller.
Philippines Exchange 2009
In July 2009, NAIT welcomed students from the Philippines to study with our world-class instructors, and experience great summer events throughout Alberta, including the Calgary Stampede, Edmonton's Capital Ex, The Rexall Indy, and a tour of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Italy Exchange 2009
In 2009, our Italy Exchange took NAIT students to Tuscany where they learned from and worked with regional experts, while touring some of the most beautiful and historic places Italy has to offer, such as Florence and Siena.
Austria Exchange 2009
In July 2009, a student group from Austria visited NAIT as part of the Austrian Exchange Program. They experienced hands-on learning opportunities with NAIT's acclaimed instructors, as well as distinguished alumni and friends. While here, the students took in a football game in Edmonton, toured the historic badlands of Drumheller, Alberta, visited Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, and experienced the natural wonders of the Rocky Mountains in Lake Louise and Jasper.
