Computers and Software

Students and staff have free access to 40 computer workstations that are equipped with a variety of specialty software (61.7K pdf). We also have CD/DVD burners and 28 workstations are equipped with high-end scanners. There is one computer with JAWS and ZoomText software installed.

Please have your NAIT ID card with you at all times when using the Project Factory computers.

Computer Use Guidelines

The following computer use guidelines apply to computers located in the Project Factory.

  • Computers are provided to support current NAIT students and staff in their courses and work at NAIT. The computers in the Project Factory may also be used by NAIT alumni with valid Alumni Privilege Cards.
  • Computers are not available for use by members of the public.
  • Access is first come, first served. However, please respect your fellow students during busy hours by completing computer use promptly.
  • You are responsible for understanding and respecting NAIT’s Guidelines for Internet Use and Security Standards (432K pdf). Any violation will result in appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with NAIT’s Academic Regulations and Procedures.
  • In the interest of security,you should logout when you finish using a computer. The Project Factory is apublic place, and whileyour actions are not specifically tracked, transactions performed on a computer are not entirely private.
