Accessing the network

If your notebook has a wireless network card, you can connect to the campus network (it's called "public"). Once connected, open your browser and you will be asked to authenticate using your Portal ID and password.

Using notebooks in the NAITSA Computer Commons

Several round tables have been designated for notebook users, and a few are equipped with plug-ins. During busy times you may be asked to refrain from using your notebook at a computer workstation if the workstation is needed by another student.

Notebook users are not permitted to use the resources of a computer workstation at any time (e.g. the network cable).

If you need to print, you must transfer your files to a regular workstation and print from there. If you need a USB drive to transfer your files, you can borrow one from the lab monitor with your NAIT ID card.
