Services for the Public
In addition to providing our students with a real-world education that prepares them for the workforce, the School of Health and Life Sciences also serves the public with the assistance of our students and instructors.
The NAIT Dental Clinic provides low-cost dental services, giving our students valuable hands-on experience with real patients. All services are provided by Dental Assisting, Dental Technology and Denturist Technology students, under the supervision of a registered practitioner.
Services vary during the year based on curriculum needs, but the clinic is open for inquiries and appointments year-round. Contact the dental clinic.
Animal blood bank
Animal Health Technology and Veterinary Medical Assistant students get additional experience in their fields by working at NAIT’s Canadian Animal Blood Bank clinic. The blood bank collects and provides blood products for dogs that need transfusions as part of their care.
Blood donor clinics are held at NAIT one evening a week, with the day varying to meet dog owners’ schedules. Contact the blood bank.
