The Automotive Service Technician Pre-Employment Program is designed for people with little or no automotive background experience. This program may be a step to securing an apprenticeship contract if that is the goal of the student, or as basic automotive information. After successful completion of the program, graduates will have the opportunity to write the First Period Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship exam. This program has both fall and winter intakes.

The School of Trades

NAIT's School of Trades offers training in 35 program areas leading to journeyperson certification, and certificate and diploma credentials. Training 42% of the province's apprentices, NAIT's Automotive Program is the largest single provider of Automotive Apprentice Training in Alberta.
