Advanced Credit
You may apply for advanced credit once you have been accepted into the program. Advanced Credit can be Transfer Credit (for completed post-secondary courses), Credential Recognition (for completed certificates, diplomas or degrees) or PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition).
Transfer Credit & Credential Recognition: In addition to the common guidelines outlined on the Recognition of Prior Learning website and on the Request for Transfer Credit or Credential Recognition form (pdf), your program has other advanced credit requirements that are applied to each request including:
- You must have completed the course or program no more than year(s) ago unless a formalized articulation agreement is in place
- You must have a minimum mark of in the course(s) or program

Frank Bochek is a retired electronics technician who was born and raised in the coal-mining town Sterco, in the foothills of Alberta. His innate curiosity and fascination of how things work make him the ultimate science guy, with a particular passion for computers and electronics. He was the owner/operator of “Frank’s Radio Clinic” in his early career, and was later responsible for small engine and electrical repairs as well as the installation and maintenance of computers in the Yellowhead School Division – including the original Commodore 64. Throughout his life Frank has been committed to volunteerism and community work, cheerfully serving others.
Available to first year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Network Administrator, Electronics Engineering Technology, Network Engineering Technology and Wireless Systems Engineering Technology programs at NAIT.
