About the Program
The world is rapidly becoming an accessible knowledge marketplace. Global networks capable of carrying voice, data, graphics and interactive video are a reality. The economic viability of some local and international business is inextricably dependent upon this technology.
This program will provide graduates with advanced skills in analyzing, optimizing, maintaining, implementing and administering computer networks. Emphasis will be placed upon practical skills and state-of-the-art implementations to ensure immediate applicability to industry requirements.
Instructors in the School of Applied Sciences and Technology bring not only expertise in teaching but also passion for the technology and experience, business knowledge and artistic flare to the classroom. - Students must have access to a computer using the Windows operating system.
- Computer keyboard entry comprises a significant portion of training time; therefore, touch typing or basic keyboarding skills are a definite asset.
This hands-on work experience provides career development training, which enables students to develop advanced job readiness skills and experience in industry. Students have access to build a network of contacts and apply what they learn in the classroom to real life situations.
