Centre for Applied Technology
We know that we need to respond aggressively to workforce demands. The NAIT Centre for Applied Technology will enable us to increase our student enrolment in several key programs.
As the central academic facility on Main Campus, the centre will accommodate over 5,000 students daily, allowing for a 50% enrolment increase in Health, Business, Engineering Technologies, and Sustainable Building and Environmental Management programs.
Simulated Learning Environment
The NAIT Centre for Applied Technology is being developed as a centre of excellence for simulated learning, which allows students to experience real-world situations without leaving the classroom or lab.
In simulation labs, students receive hands-on training in a controlled, safe and cost-effective learning environment that integrates leading technology, equipment and business processes. Through this experience, graduates are prepared to
- improve productivity
- enhance competitiveness
- promote innovation in the workforce
From developing solutions for the oil sands industry to improving wellness through allied health care services, the NAIT Centre for Applied Technology will help secure a more prosperous future for Alberta.
